Description

• Only the 1st and 2nd leaves of new shoots are hand-rolled on beauty sticks, then dried in a special oven to preserve the unique shape and flavor. Enhanced with saffron for the ultimate tea and beauty experience.
  
• The method of manufacture of this tea is quite interesting: The 1st and 2nd leaf of new shoots are painstakingly plucked during the end of March and the first two weeks of April. These leaves are allowed to wither ever so slightly, steamed, and then hand-rolled lengthwise - causing a few of the leaf cells to be broken, allowing some of the green tea flavor to develop. Following the rolling, the best leaves are selected and curled around what is called a "beauty stick". These rolls are then pressed flat and then dried in a special oven to cure the flavor and preserve the unique shape.
• The bottom of these new leaves are covered with a "new down". This signifies that these leaves are new, fresh and pure, which are characteristics that were held in high regard by those striving for ultimate beauty.
• There are only two villages in the Mount Meng region, which make these teas. These two villages are the holders of the tool used to make these rings called"beauty sticks". These sticks were blessed with beauty by the favorite consort of a 13th century Emperor.

• Hand Plucked and Hand Rolled Small Batch Ultra-High Anti-Oxidant Green Tea from the Mount Meng Region
• Jasmine Petals
• Coupe #1 Grade Spanish Saffron

Suggested Use

• Drink 1 cup as desired. 
  

Brewing Instructions

• Using an open tea infuser, steep 1 rounded teaspoon in 1 cup of freshly boiled water for 3 minutes. Strain and drink warm.
• Do not microwave.
