The sinuses are situated behind the bridge of the nose, the upper nose, inside each cheekbone, and above the eyes. Sinus problems can be caused by bacterial and viral infections, allergies, and oftentimes from fungal infections. The warm, dark, moist and undisturbed locations of the sinus are a perfect breeding ground for yeast, mold, fungus and other organisms.
