Description

• Traditionally used as an excellent skin care remedy.*
• German Chamomile has many of the same qualities as Roman Chamomile, except that its anti-inflammatory properties are greater due to the higher percentage of azulene.
• Azulene is one of its constituents - not found in the whole plant, but is produced during distillation when reactions take place between various plant constituents and the steam used in distilling.  It gives the oil its beautiful blue color.
• Azulene is reputed to prevent discharge of histamine from the tissues by activating the pituitary-adrenal system, causing the release of cortisone.
• Azulene is also know to stimulate liver regeneration.
• Commonly used for all states of tension and the symptoms that arise from it, such as nervous digestive system, tension headaches, sleeplessness.
